Frank's Machining, Inc is a family owned and operated machine shop operating since 2000. We are located in South Bend, Indiana and serve the Northern Indiana area. Where it all started
In 1985, Frank left a small village in Transylvania, Romania to escape a communist country where life was difficult. He set out on foot alone and traveled across the world in search of a better life for his family, unsure of if and when he would see them again. Leaving his wife and two small children behind wasn’t easy, but he knew taking this risk was the only way to create a safe and happy future. His vision to provide for them meant that he must do anything and everything he could to be successful.
As a young man, Frank was a strong-willed, dedicated, and tenacious person with a love of soccer. Through his determination, there wasn’t a task he couldn’t complete or a job he couldn’t do. His journey took him to Florence, Italy, where he lived in a refugee camp for a while until he was sponsored in a small town called South Bend, Indiana. During his sponsorship he was employed at local machine shops and began establishing his roots. He came to the United States with nothing but his machining skills and a dream to own his own machine shop and build a strong foundation for machining. For Frank, machining was a skill that he learned at a young age and became part of who he is. By his early 20's he had tremendous knowledge and skill set that was difficult to find. With his knowledge of the industry and the rare skills he brought with him it was a perfect storm for a better life. He began working out of the basement of his home and in 2000, his dream became a reality and he opened Frank’s Machining, Inc.
Today, Frank is a patriotic man who is proud of everything he has worked hard to accomplish. He continues to build his company on the strong values he came to the US with. Machining for him isn’t a job but a dream that became a reality.
